We started this guide (both print and web) because owning our own antique store; we would always get publications that included only the stores that paid to be in them. This didn't make a very good product for our customers, because it never gave a complete list of places they could visit.
So, we decided to make our own publication that included all of the antique stops in Southwest Michigan whether they paid to be in the publication or not. We can now give this publication to customers who stop in our store knowing that they have been given a complete listing of destinations.
We then asked ourselves, why not offer these publications to other stores and make it a group effort? We now print and distribute over 10,000 copies throughout 16 counties in Southwest Michigan. Not only do we have the most complete list of stores, but we also have some nifty articles, an events calendar, free classifieds and a great way for other stores to advertise at a very inexpensive rate!
